I am Nibedita, an ordinary girl by profession, a Radiation Oncology Research Nurse at Tata Medical Centre who works daily from 9 to 5 in an influential hospital. After a day of restless, stressful work, I feel somewhere there is a need for quietness, peace and rest. Peace is a small word but it is very necessary for everyone. So, I was looking for a yoga teacher in Kolkata or Best Yoga centre near me in Kolkata. As getting professional yoga teaching in Kolkata is a challenge and I started daily yoga Meditation and breathing practice at home.
After a full day of work, I try to find time for my family and myself, yes time for myself. My peace is my healthy living and for that I see a good quality in myself since childhood that is to do exercise, meditation & yoga regularly maybe with a professional yoga therapist or trainer. I feel like yoga exercise is as important as eating and sleeping in my daily life. Many people do it with a goal to lose weight (weight loss exercises at home), Period pain relief, Fatty liver treatment, Stomach / Belly fat loss workout, Workout to gain weight or yoga for Cardio issues. The common problems which we often face and want to get cured through yoga and maintaining a good / healthy lifestyle are Thyroid cure through yoga, Arthritis treatment in yoga, gallbladder improvement yoga. Even often we try physiotherapy too.
I do it because I love it. I think if someone loves to do something they will do it every day with Surya namaskar, yoga for beginners, Kapalbhati like eating and sleeping, no one has to remind them, if they love it they will do it by themselves.
If someone asks me why do you do yoga or exercise every day, is it really necessary? my first answer to that person would be that I love doing it. I think yoga has changed a lot in my life, helping me to keep calm, happy and stay healthy.
Stress, Anxiety, Hypertension, Frustration becomes a part of every corporate worker’s life. Yoga has been my best friend during the most stressful moments of my life and by doing regular practice, I maintain my playful individuality and childish mentality. Today I can say that yoga is absolutely my life’s favourite and most essential practice that makes me a complete person.
Positive impact of yoga in my life is, it helps to improve my flexibility and strength, weight management, pain relief during periods, better sleep, Stress reduction, regular yoga practice always boosts my mood, helps to enhance my self-awareness and increases my focus and concentration.
I would like to say to all those people who may have joined yoga with some motivation, please stay consistent, believe in yourself and move forward in life with yoga in hand and meditation in hand.
The great Swami Vivekananda said – ‘yoga is derived from Sanskrit root as the English “YOKE” meaning “to join”, to join us to reality, God’.
Yoga is something that will help you to see the actual world through your actions. I know I still have a long way to go and my greatest companion is my yoga, my meditation.
